Sunday Meeting - Update on Justice for Juveniles: A Call to Ethical Action

Dr. Anne Klaeysen, Leader
Heather Grady Presides
Auditorium

Since her address on January 3, Leader Anne Klaeysen has been working with a team of NYSEC members and staff, community activists, and faith-based groups to form a broad-based coalition that can address the issues and influence the decisions that affect juveniles caught up in the criminal justice system. Join Anne in the morning for an update on important milestones.  Stay for the afternoon session, "Juvenile Justice 3: Bring 'em Home, Keep 'em Home" a participatory workshop on taking the next steps towards meaningful reform.

Note: At our Sept. 12 meeting we’ll be treated to a special performance of Bach’s Double Violin Concerto by guest artists Julia and Laura Lutzke. Julia performs with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Westchester Philharmonic, and the Long Island Philharmonic, and has also performed on Broadway. Her sister, Laura, is a Masters student at Julliard and has performed at various music festivals. Pat Debrovner had the pleasure of officiating at Julia’s wedding last August.
