Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader by Anne Fadiman

According to Lionel Trilling, ". . . the most effective agent of the moral imagination has been the novel. . . Its greatness and its practical usefulness lay in its unremitting work of involving the reader in the moral life." Each session will start and end with a poem and include a discussion of a novel from the syllabus provided to participants.
