The Joy of Personal Writing focuses on non-fiction non-journalistic writing done from a writer's own point of view. The definition is kept as loose as possible to let each participant develop his or her writing in a unique and self-determined way.

These workshops, led by Elaine Berman, welcome both new and experienced writers. They are safe places to begin writing personal non-fiction or return to it after a time away. Come and experience the joy of concentrating on writing.

Visit the Workshop Writers' Space to read examples that have resulted from this program.
