Cherry Blossom Walk
Saturday, April 14
10:00 AM
Take an A, C, or E train to Chambers Street (World Trade Center). Walk toward the front of the train (south) to the broad area, below street level, which overlooks the WTC construction site – the meeting time will be 10:00 am. Wait here at top of the escalators which go down to the PATH ticket vending machines and turnstiles. After the group assembles, we will go down, buy our PATH tickets and proceed through the turnstiles. The one-way fare for the PATH is $1.50. We will be taking the train to Newark.
At Newark, we will go downstairs to take the City Subway #7. The fare is $1.25 for adults, $0.60 for seniors. We will get off at the Branch Brook Park station, and then walk a short distance from there to the park. Since there are no token booths on either the PATH or the City Subway, every effort should be made to bring exact change.
Sponsored by the Membership Activities Committee. For further info please call Pat Berens at 212-799-9365.
