Fall Bike Trip
Saturday, October 14
9:30 AM
A four-hour biking adventure from Manhattan to Wave Hill Garden, in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. This will be a great ride with many points of interest along the way. We’ll be cycling approximately 22 miles on mostly flat terrain with a couple of low hills. Most of the ride will be on the Hudson River bike path, with some of the ride on quiet city streets.
We’ll meet at 9:30 am at the Eleanor Roosevelt statue at 72nd Street and Riverside Drive. Bring a water bottle, a bicycle lock, and money for the Wave Hill entrance fee ($5). You can either bring your own lunch or purchase one at the garden café. Please note that you absolutely must wear a bicycle helmet, or you will not be permitted to ride. There is no sign-up procedure; just show up at the appointed time and place. Rain cancels.
