In this ongoing Ethical Culture workshop you can achieve and maintain focus on the writing you want to do. Classes include support for both expression and technique as new and experienced writers create memoirs, essays and articles with strong, personal points of view. "Psychoanalysis, Religion, and Atheism" with Dr. Roger Frie. Self-styled "a Godless Jew," Freud related to colleagues who were deeply spiritual and religious. Dr. Frie will examine this connection and the role for religion and atheism in psychoanalysis.

In drawing classes at the Ethical Culture Society, participants experiment with various art medium to inspire creative growth. As new awareness of the essence of objects emerges, perspective changes.
Art materials: pencil, charcoal, and pastels will be introduced. Artists at all levels are encouraged to 'take the plunge.' No previous drawing experience needed.

Instructor Barbara E. Litke, artist and teacher, has exhibited paintings and drawings throughout the tri-state area. She taught art to adults and youngsters throughout her professional career. Barbara received a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Brooklyn College, and has received several painting and writing grants.
